Born in 1981 in France, Baptiste pursues a creative path that varies from experimental music to paintings and photography. Moved to Japan since 2006, where he studied martial arts, Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) and Monsho Gaku (Japanese heraldry), the story he tells blends pop art, geometric abstractions and oriental aesthetics through a variety of media. He is currently working on a project called Terra Oblivia based on three elements: intense concern for patterns and logic; focus on the discipline of the trade and creative inspiration without horizons. On the canvas, these three elements come together to reveal a unique and rigorously observed perspective, elegantly rendered with an impeccable craft: mathematically precise abstractions the shape of surreal cities.
