Laurent Da sylva is a french contemporary artist. He produces a contemplative artwork, giving us his mute observations of the time and the light.

His work is based on meteorological data specific to solar radiation, which he translates plastically through graphic protocols into minutely measured variations of matter.

Playing with levels of representation, different scales and different planes, these accumulations of luminous substances create paintings of enigmatic abstract landscapes.

His posture, romantic – understood as the contemplator of nature – is transposed to the contemporary era in a race with the materials which he has given himself of mastering.
