Bernard is a Croatian born artist and designer, lives and works in Germany. He plays with color, form and minimalistic lines in his abstract figurative, analyzing but also sculptured like compositions with the meticulous application of acrylic, oil, spray paint or even collage.

Bernard creates an extraordinary composition in each of his works. The simple black or coloured contour line, runs through his classical paintings or in more graphical artworks as a “ thread of life”. He is interested in themes like intimacy like the artwork bed secret, society like “family portrait”, exploring transcience of human beings and all kind of relationship between all kind of creatures – the barely existence being is connected in all his works.

The works are primarily distinguished by their complex simplicity. They are telling stories, sometimes humorous or sarcastic, but always trying the viewer to stimulate, to explore their own introspection.
